Indigo Forest Border Leicester 3-ply Twist DK Yarn
3-ply DK Weight Yarn in 225 yard/114g skeins, Suggested Gauge: 4.75 stitches/inch on size 6 needles Care: Hand wash warm and lay flat to dry
This Border Leicester Wool is spun at Blue Mountain Farm & Fiber Mill with a mix of Crown Hill Farm’s fibers from our mindfully-raised sheep — Sarah, Abraham, Lily, Ruth & Isaac and some dark Border Leicester fleece gifted to me.
This 3-ply is twisted from 2-ply white and 1-ply dark wool. I've dyed these skeins with colors from our natural dye gardens and foraged on Crown Hill Farm property.
Indigo Forest was made with Indigo leaves we grew here in our gardens. We got two different shades of indigo based on different methods of indigo dye. This one kept more of a green to the teal color which reminds me of the pine forests when I lived in Colorado.
Due to the nature of natural dye, there may be slight variations in color throughout each skein.
Everything from Crown Hill Farm are Heirloom varieties and Heritage breeds, sustainably and mindfully grown with respect to land, plants, animals and soil.
