3-ply Sock/Fingering Weight Yarn in 300 yard/103g skeins, Suggested Gauge: 8.5 stitches/inch on size US2 needles Care: Hand wash warm and lay flat to dry
This Border Leicester Wool is spun at Blue Mountain Farm & Fiber Mill with only Crown Hill Farm’s fibers from our mindfully-raised sheep — Sarah, Abraham, Lily, Ruth & Isaac.
I've dyed these skeins with colors from our natural dye gardens and foraged on Crown Hill Farm property. Charming Pink is made from a mix of Hopi Red Dye Amaranth & saved Avocado pits. Although we don’t grow avocado at Crown Hill, we enjoy eating them and the saved pits create this lovely pink-peach color. A local organic smoothie shop also donated their avocado pits for this color
This gentle pinky-peach made me think of one of my favorite narcissus flowers that grows on the farm called “Pink Charm”. It has a gentle undulation in color between a pinkish peach and more yellow peach. Due to the nature of natural dye, there may be slight variations in color throughout each skein.
