This Border Leicester Wool is spun at Three Points Fiber Mill with only Crown Hill Farm’s fibers from our mindfully-raised sheep, Abraham. This is some of my last yarn from Abraham, my intact ram, who has moved on to a wonderful farm in Virginia to expand their Border Leicester flocks. As rams go, he’s always been the sweetest.
I've dyed these skeins with colors from our natural dye gardens and foraged on Crown Hill Farm property. Sea Kelp was made from a plant called Kamala fruit that I mindfully source and modified for this color. There are some natural colors that do not come from my own gardens and this is one of those. I originally tried this color in celebration of Kamala Harris’ run for the US Presidency.
Due to the nature of natural dye, there may be slight variations in color throughout a skein and from skein to skein.
Everything from Crown Hill Farm are Heirloom varieties and Heritage breeds, sustainably and mindfully grown with respect to land, plants, animals and soil.
