This Border Leicester Wool is spun at Three Points Fiber Mill with only Crown Hill Farm’s fibers from our mindfully-raised sheep, Isaac. He’s our big weathered ram with the most beautiful soft curls in his fleece.
I've dyed these skeins with colors from our natural dye gardens and foraged on Crown Hill Farm property. Chocolate Yarrow was made from a big perennial yarrow plant in my south gardens. I over dyed with a walnut exhaust bath.
The overdye process creates beautiful color variegation in the skein.
Due to the nature of natural dye, there may be slight variations in color throughout a skein and from skein to skein.
Everything from Crown Hill Farm are Heirloom varieties and Heritage breeds, sustainably and mindfully grown with respect to land, plants, animals and soil.
