This Border Leicester Wool is spun at Blue Mountain Farm & Fiber Mill with only Crown Hill Farm’s fibers from our mindfully-raised eldest sheep — Sarah, Abraham & Lily.

I've dyed these skeins with colors from our natural dye gardens and foraged on Crown Hill Farm property. “Butter Lamb” is made from goldenrod flowers which were harvested wild from the land in autumn and saved for dye this spring.

The delicate yellow color reminds me of fresh churned butter and the butter lambs we see in this region around Easter time.Due to the nature of natural dye, there may be slight variations in color throughout a skein.

Everything from Crown Hill Farm are Heirloom varieties and Heritage breeds, sustainably and mindfully grown with respect to land, plants, animals and soil.
